25th Annual Rotary Club of Barrie Fun Run/Walk
The Rotary Fun Run/Walk officially kicks off the summer on Barrie's beautiful waterfront. This annual event began 25 years ago when local companies and organizations entered teams of runners in a 20k relay race and walkers in a 5k walk.
The popular walk will continue and similar to last year, there will be 5k and 10k runs with all runners being timed. 1st, 2nd and 3rd place medals will be awarded to male and female runners.
Everyone is welcome to enjoy the refreshments and live entertainment at the Southshore Community Centre. Proceeds are dedicated to community projects.
Inaugural Sports Association Challenge 2012
A challenge created to spark the interest of athletes, their families and friends to participate in the 25th Annual Rotary Fun Run / Walk . In return and with thanks, prize money will be awarded to the local Sports Association with the 1st, 2nd and 3rd largest number of entries.
- 1st - $ 1000
- 2nd - $ 500
- 3rd - $ 250
The challenge is in support of the local community and the prize money is offered for the enrichment of the Sports Associations and their athletes

KIDS RUN
Ages 7 to 10 years with the following distances
- 7-8 years: 250 meters
- 9-10 years: 500 meters
